aeonus Co., Ltd. (CEO Eun Heo), a mobile energy storage system (ESS)-based power solution company, announced that it has signed a strategic partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation in the mobile ESS business with VOLVO PENTA, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Singapore. The agreement was signed at the aeonus headquarters. This partnership aims to jointly expand the mobile ESS market and strengthen global business competitiveness by combining the technological prowess and business capabilities of both companies.

■ Expanding Product Lineup and Strengthening Competitiveness in Global Markets through Strategic Partnership

Through this collaboration, aeonus plans to further enhance its product competitiveness by adding VOLVO PENTA’s battery packs (270kWh and 540kWh) to its existing mobile ESS product lineup (up to 330kWh). This integration is expected to allow aeonus to respond more flexibly to diverse customer demands, while simultaneously establishing a megawatt (MW)-class high-capacity mobile energy platform and advancing its overall product ecosystem. In particular, building on this collaboration with a global enterprise, aeonus anticipates dramatically reducing the time and cost required to enter overseas markets, thereby accelerating its global market penetration.

VOLVO PENTA develops and mass-produces modular battery pack systems for construction machinery and e-mobility based on South Korean battery cells. More than 90% of these systems are utilized within the Volvo Group for the electrification of construction equipment and as mobile ESS solutions to replace diesel generators. Furthermore, the company is actively expanding its business across global markets, including the United States and Italy, leveraging the Volvo brand to solidify its foothold in the mobile power solutions sector.
